2. How old are your participants?
Since I created Face to Face French over 20 years ago, I’ve welcomed learners of all ages, from 18 to 80. However, the majority of my students are between 30 and 65. However, as my programs are individual, they adapt to your pace and profile, whatever your age!
3. What nationalities are your participants?
My programs are suitable for all nationalities, even if you’re a complete beginner.

First of all, I welcome people motivated by both personal and professional reasons. These include a wide variety of profiles: doctors (cardiologists, surgeons, anesthetists, emergency physicians, etc.), sales managers, company directors, chefs, diplomats, lawyers, traders, etc. Whatever your profession, level or objectives, an individualized immersion program is the best option for effective progress!
6. Which companies have you already worked with?
With twenty years’ experience as a trainer of French as a foreign language, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of companies, from large international groups to dynamic SMEs. Among the names you may recognize, I have worked and continue to work with leaders in their fields such as Unilever, Lafarge, Total, Duravit, American Airlines, as well as many other companies of varying sizes and in a variety of sectors.
7. What do you think makes a successful individualized immersion program?
For me, a successful individualized immersion program rests on two essential pillars: entirely customized training and total language immersion.
Customized training means a program designed just for you, tailored precisely to your level, your objectives and your pace. This guarantees maximum attention from your trainer and optimal speaking time in French, without any loss of time.
Total language immersion immerses you in an environment where French is your only language of communication. Cut off from your mother tongue, you are naturally encouraged to think and express yourself in French at all times, accelerating your assimilation and boosting your confidence.
By combining this maximum personalization and constant immersion, your stay becomes a highly effective learning experience for rapid and lasting progress in French.
8. How are your immersion programs "individualized"? What does this mean in concrete terms for me?
The “individualized” aspect means that your stay is designed just for you. As soon as you sign up, I’ll assess your level and goals to create a program that’s right for you. tailored to your needs. During face-to-face lessons, content, pace and materials are adapted to your needs. all the time to your progress. You benefit from It’s the opposite of group learning. Even “active lunches” are an extension of this personalized learning. In practical terms, this means optimized learning and rapid progress, because everything is focused on your unique needs. That’s the key to maximizing your progress in the shortest possible time!
9. How do you design the training program and run the language points?
Your program is entirely personalized. It is defined and built around the assessment test you will have taken before your arrival.
For each linguistic point (grammar, vocabulary, etc.), I propose a series of varied practical exercises. to work on this point from different angles and maximize your speaking time. The aim is to support you progressively:
- Role-playing to highlight a particular point.
- Interactive oral exercises for practice and automatic learning.
- Oral and written production activities to reinforce mastery of the point.
- A point studied and practised, and assumed to have been acquired, is always reactivated afterwards.
- Throughout the course, even during breaks, I’ll be able to tell whether your formulation is correct or not.
Needless to say, you’ll be speaking a lot of French with me!
10. Are your individualized immersion programs suitable for all types of learners? I sometimes feel that I'm not "cut out" for one-to-one learning.
That’s a very pertinent question, and I understand your apprehension perfectly. One-on-one learning can sometimes seem daunting, but I strive to create a learning environment warm, supportive and caring. The two of us form a small team for whom your progress is the priority, and this often gives rise to great complicity and sincere friendship.
Unlike a group course where you have to adapt to the general rhythm, individualized immersion allows me to personalize my teaching approach to suit your preferences. Whether you need interaction, encouragement, time for reflection or a more playful approach, I’ll adapt to make you feel at ease.
Many of my learners had never done one-to-one immersion before and were amazed at the progress they made in such a short time!
11. How much progress can I expect from a week's language study?
Let’s be clear: a single week is not enough to become perfectly bilingual, but it is enough to become perfectly bilingual. incredible gas pedal for your French course. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the basics, greater ease in speaking and understanding, renewed motivation and the desire to continue learning. For more significant results, consider a two-week stay.
Nevertheless, in one week of immersion, my goal is to help you :
- Understand how the French language works.
- Acquire the basic tools to build your own independent thinking.
- Develop practical vocabulary for everyday situations.
- Start expressing yourself with confidence.
- Speed up production and understanding.
All the students who have followed one of my programs have been amazed at the progress they’ve made in such a short time!
12. Is it possible to change the number of hours of lessons for an individualized stay?
I offer 3 immersion stays, but it’s entirely possible to design another stay together that would be just right for you. We’ll define it together based on the information you give me.
13. Do you offer teacher-led tours to optimize learning in my free time?
My 3 immersion stays are more focused on classes and free time. However, it is entirely possible to integrate accompanied visits into the Intensive and Semi-Intensive stays. Your arrival in La Baule is designed to be as simple as possible.
As soon as you have confirmed your stay and given me your travel details, I will personally meet you at the La Baule-Escoublac train station on Sunday afternoon, at the agreed time.
From the station, I’ll accompany you to your apartment at La Maison Régent. I’ll introduce you to your accommodation and give you all the practical information you need for your stay (internet access, amenities, etc.).
This first contact is important to get to know each other and answer any initial questions you may have. We can also discuss how your week will unfold and confirm the time of our first lesson on Monday morning.

19. I would like to take the course with a friend, colleague or husband/wife. Is this possible?
It’s a question I get asked from time to time. Yes, it’s quite possible. I’ve already had the pleasure of welcoming duos(mother and daughter, friends, colleagues, couples) for training. This option is possible when the people involved have a roughly equivalent level of French and similar learning expectations.
In this case, the program will be adapted to meet the common needs of the duo, while ensuring that each can progress individually. Please do not hesitate to let me know what you would like, so that we can discuss and evaluate together the best approach for your learning together!
However, if both participants would like an individual program, we will work out a tailor-made timetable together.

I’m not one of those schools that promise low-cost miracles with standardized methods, often inexperienced teachers and little individual supervision. Here, the quality and results are my priority.
22. What is the best time of year to visit La Baule?
That’s an excellent question! The best season really depends on your personal preferences and what you’re looking for in an experience outside the classroom.
La Baule is a very pleasant town all year round, with different atmospheres depending on the month:
- Spring (April-May-early June): The weather is generally mild and sunny, ideal for walks on the beach, which is starting to wake up. It’s a quieter period, perfect if you prefer a serene atmosphere. Prices are also more affordable than in high season.
- Summer (mid-June to early September): High season! The town is very lively, with numerous events, markets and activities. The beach is of course very popular, and the atmosphere is festive. If you’re a fan of vibrancy and crowds, this is the ideal time. Note that accommodation prices are highest at this time of year.
- Autumn (mid-September to late October): Temperatures often remain very pleasant, the light is magnificent and the summer crowds are gone. It’s a season for long walks and tranquillity, while still enjoying the sunny terraces.
- Winter (November to March): La Baule offers a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The long, invigorating walks on the beach are rejuvenating, and the calmer atmosphere is conducive to concentration for your learning. Rates are the lowest.
In short, if you prefer peace and quiet and attractive rates, spring and autumn are ideal. If you’re looking for excitement and summer activities, summer is the season for you. And for a quiet, concentrated immersion at a lower cost, winter has its trump cards.
